Procedure Regarding Permission For The Tree Cutting
- Permission for reserve trees viz. Sag, Sisam, Khair, Chandan and Mahudo will be given by competent Deputy Conservator of Forests.
- Within 10 days of receiving online application DFO will direct RFO to verify the place.
- Within 5 days of receiving direction from DFO, RFO will direct Forester to visit the place.
- Within 20 days of receiving direction from RFO, Forester will inspect the place and report to RFO with details volume of trees to be cut.
- Within 5 days of receiving inspection report from Forester, RFO will submit online inspection report to DFO.
- Within 20 days of receiving online inspection report from RFO, DFO will give online permission for cutting the trees.

- Map Including Boundary of Survey No
- In case of more than one member and one of them is the applicant,the written consent of the other applicants.
- Certificate of Non-forest Land and Letter for Distance from the forest information
Authority for Issuing Transit Pass
As shown in ‘Annexure-B’ of Government of Gujarat Resolutions Dt.20/10/2015 transit pass for 5 reserved tress and 5 trees of exempted list viz. Limbdo, Desi Baval, Kanji, Ambo and Ambli in specific areas as mentioned in in‘Annexure-A’ ofGovernment of Gujarat Resolutions Dt.20/10/2015 will be issued by concern RFO, and for 17 restricted trees if they are in specific area. The transit pass will be issued by concern Forester.
Procedure to Get Transit Pass
- Applicant will have to apply online to concern Deputy Conservator of Forests to gettransit pass.
- Within 5 days DFO will direct RFO for site and material inspection.
- Within 3 days ' RFO will direct Forester for site and material inspection.
- Within 10 days Forester will inspect the site and will report with all details of trees and volume of material.
- Within 2 days RFO will submit on line inspection report to concern DCF.
- Within 5 days DFO will direct RFO, to issue transit pass.
- Within 2 days ' RFO will direct Forester to issue transit pass.
- Within 3 days Forester will issue transit pass to applicant.
- In GR Dated: 10/09/2015, 86 trees species grow on non-forest/ private lands are exempted from felling and transit regulation except for prevailing specific provisions for 5 species like limabo (Azadirachta indica), Desi baval (Acasia nilotica), Kanji (Pongamia pinnata), Ambo (Mangifera indica) and Ambli (Tamarindus indica) grown in s specific areas mentioned below, permission for felling and transit is required from the concerned DFOs:

"Risk Assessment Factors to be Considered During Inspections for Permission for Tree Cutting"
The following factors will be taken into consideration for granting permission:
- These trees are not on steep slopes. Yes/No
- Not within 15 meters from bank of riverside and roadside. Yes/No
- Not within 3 meters from Nala bank. Yes/No
- Not in Mangrove areas. Yes/No
- Not within 5 KM from the reserved forest boundary, national park, sanctuaries, coastal areas.Yes/No
- Not above 500 meters above MSL area. Yes/No
- Not within 200 meters from national highway, state highway and from district ways.Yes/No

Also out of 22 trees species mentioned in Annexure B of the GR Dated: 10/09/2015, the 5 species mentioned below are reserved trees and their permissions will be required from the concerned DFOs. Felling permission for the rest of 17 species of trees mentioned inAnnexure B will be given by the concerned revenue / urban authorities.
